Disclaimer
Since 1989 Attorney Clifford B. Rodgers (“Ben”) has been licensed by the Texas Supreme Court to practice in Texas Courts. He has also been admitted to practice before the United States District Court, Northern District of Texas, and the United States Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit.
He is not regularly licensed to practice law, and does not regularly practice law, in any other state in the United States. He may be admitted to practice law in another state on a limited basis, called admission 'pro hac vice.' It requires an order of a court of local jurisdiction to allow him to practice law in that state but only in that lawsuit. In an appropriate case he may seek such limited admission to practice law in another state by first associating with local counsel in that state. He is not certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Use of any information on this site does not create an attorney-client relationship. If you contact the Rodgers Law Firm, the law firm will reply, but your contact or the law firm reply, whether by phone, email, letter, fax or other means, does not constitute the formation of a contract or create any obligation on the part of the sender or the recipient. Mr. Rodgers will not agree to represent any client unless and until you and he sign a written contract of employment that spells out the scope of the representation, the fee arrangement, and other matters affecting the attorney-client relationship.
Some cases may be of a type that, after a consultation and evaluation by Ben in detail, Ben would recommend to you that it be referred to another attorney or that Ben associates with another attorney to jointly prosecute your case. For example, Mr. Rodgers has referred cases to attorneys in other states because the claim could not realistically be prosecuted in Texas because the accident happened in that other state. Should this situation arise, any recommended referral or joint association will be discussed with you in advance and your agreement obtained. If a case is referred to another attorney and Mr. Rodgers will not be working on the case also to jointly prosecute the case, he receives no referral fee from the referred attorney. The attorneys involved in any association to jointly prosecute a case together work on a written fee-sharing basis that you must approve in advance. Any such referral or joint association will not increase your attorneys' fees, litigation expenses, or court costs.
